(pronounced union) is an element describing the union between people. It often only becomes conscious when factors such as culture, economic wealth or a secure existence in human society have been lost, e.g. due to natural disasters, wars or pandemics. Only then does man reflect on what connects him to the rest of humanity: being human alone and exclusively.

Cultural Significance

The Operation ∇ classifies as a utopia that can only be created temporarily by signing a social contract at regular intervals. The festive events strive for a moment in which each participant can move freely and yet, as if of their own accord, place themselves in relation to the rest of the community. This is evoked by the creation of a temporary fourth wall, which ensures that all participants gather in a semicircle for a short moment to watch one or more people doing an activity that they themselves are doing the same or a similar activity motivated. Unlike in the theater, however, the rule of the observed person is only of short duration and serves solely as a motivation to actualize oneself and one's own power to act within the community.

1899 Plan Seeling & Knüpfer

This is how it could've been.

In 1899, based on , the architects Seeling & Knüpfer drew up a plan for the redesign of the Scheunenfeld after its demolition. This was favored in a petition submitted to the city council by landowners "in the so-called Scheunenviertel and the adjacent districts", who identified themselves as possible sponsors for the realization.[1] Ultimately, however, this design was left behind. The decision fell on the August Orth-based design, which ultimately resulted in the creation of the Platz.
