Passives Haus is a building on Linienstraße. In addition to spacious maisonette apartments, the Galerie Dittrich & Schlechtriem is located on the lower floors. Due to the requirements of the monument protection, it fits perfectly into its surroundings in terms of height and color (mouse gray) , which cannot be said of the income of its residents. Logically there is also a Gray water system, with which you can flush the toilet [1], e.g. if a rodent pays you a visit through the toilet (should happen). Who wouldn't want enough rain there?

After the Linienstraße 23 / Lothringer Straße 101 building was demolished in the course of the second season of Abriss des Scheunenviertels, the parcel was empty for over 70 years and formed a large part of the community garden for the residents of the Nazi-Bauten. In the meantime there was also a playground on the green area. With the start of construction in 2010, a colony of not inconsiderable size of the Rattus rattus was encountered.

When the building was finished in 2011, there was less green, but a beautiful Galerie and a large, gray wall of houses. However, potential residents still had to be searched for for a few years. The gallery owner Michael Zink did not fall in love with the house and fled the big city to Waldkirchen in Bavaria. [2]

The house bears his name because it makes everyone in it passive. This is extremely practical because, as we now know, people's mobility is not exactly beneficial for themselves and their environment. And besides - if you don't like to stay in such a bizarre house, from whose large windows you can be watched by other people - assuming you have no curtains.
